Police are looking for any information the public may have on the movements of a stolen blue van used in a robbery Tuesday morning.

On Aug. 3, 2021 around 10:42 a.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at a commercial location on the 1300-block of Battle Street. Frontline officers received a description of a suspect vehicle, a blue van, reported as stolen. The van was located on fire in Riverside park shortly after and three people were arrested in relation.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the Serious Crimes Unit and General Investigation Services Team are asking the public to have a look at the picture of the van to see if they recall seeing it recently. Police are particularly interested in any observations or surveillance of anyone who appeared to be associated to the van on B.C. Day, Aug. 2, or on the day of the robbery, Aug. 3.

If you saw this van driving around town, stopped at a light, or saw some people coming or going from it, please give us a call, said Constable Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. If you have any dash cam or surveillance you can review to see if it appears in the footage, it may be helpful in assisting police to further the investigation.

The van was stolen from the 500-block of Munro Street sometime overnight between Sunday Aug. 1 and Monday Aug. 2.
