2022-3767- Excessive Speed
On July 30, 2022, a member was doing speed enforcement on Highway 99 near Callaghan Valley Rd., a posted 90 km/h speed zone. The member saw a truck travelling well over the speed limit at 130 km/h. The member did a traffic stop, impounded the truck, and issued a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for excessive speed to the local driver.

2022-3772- Assault with Weapon
On July 30, 2022, Whistler RCMP responded to a report of assault outside a local liquor establishment in the 4300 block Main St. Two men from out of area got into an altercation. One man hit another with a bottle, causing bleeding that required medical attention. Police arrested the first man and released him with a future court date.

2022-3747/3749 - 90 Day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions (IRP)
On July 30, 2022, a member was on patrol when they saw a car swerving in its lane. The member did a traffic stop and saw the driver had signs of impairment then failed roadside tests. On July 29, 2022, a member was doing a check stop for impaired driving and saw a local driver avoid the check stop. The member checked the driver who failed roadside tests. In both instances, police issued 90 day IRP’s and impounded drivers cars for 30 days.

2022-3728 – Theft of Auto
Sometime around July 25, 2022, unknown suspects stole a white Ford F550 flat deck truck with crane and other tools from a landscaping business in the 8200 block of Mons Crt. This file remains open for investigation.
