Richmond RCMP warns public of stranger sexual assault at a local park

On May 12, 2025 Richmond RCMP received a report of a stranger sexual assault that occurred on May 9, 2025 between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., in the 10,000 block of 4th Avenue in Richmond. According to the victim, she was approached at a local park by a stranger and during the course of their interaction, alleges to have been sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as:

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver or light grey Toyota Tacoma crew cab pickup truck.

Through the course of the investigation, Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section has determined there were at least two potential witnesses in the park at the time. Officers are encouraging anyone who may have been in the area of the Manoah Steves Neighbourhood School Park located at 10111 4th Avenue between 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., or driving in the area with dash cam footage, to come forward and speak with one of our investigators.

To date, Richmond RCMP has not received reports of any similar incidents. Richmond RCMP General Investigation Section has conduct of this active and ongoing investigation.
