Aboriginal Liaison Officer

The Prince George RCMP Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO) plays an important part in the community, as this position allows for all employees of the Prince George RCMP and community stakeholders to participate in cultural awareness and education opportunities. The ALO assists in the prevention of youth and community members from becoming involved with criminal activities such as gangs and drugs. Further, the ALO assists with education and prevention initiatives relating to violence against women and children. The Aboriginal Liaison Officer communicates with various Aboriginal Services and agencies in Prince George on behalf of the Prince George RCMP and assists in identifying better practices in policing services.
