Each year the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP asks for feedback from the community to help identify priorities and set new policing objectives. We need your input to help establish our pro-active policing initiatives.
Police officers spend the majority of their time responding to calls for service and conducting ongoing investigative follow-ups. When time allows, officers are in the community proactively working on crime reduction initiatives. Some examples of previous crime reduction initiatives include enhanced foot patrols in the downtown business areas, traffic safety campaigns targeting impaired or distracted drivers, engaging with youth in the community and addressing strategic areas of the community with increased police presence.
Input from those we serve is a real important part of our future planningstated North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP detachment commander S/Sgt. Ken Beard, this assists us in setting strategic priorities that will have the greatest impact on our community. We would like to hear from you!"
