On March 23, 2023, the Outer Gulf Islands RCMP took part in the Gulf Islands Fire Rescue’s Cadet Camp for their Partner day.
During spring break, a select group of youths get to test their strength and train with the Gulf Islands Fire Rescue through rigorous and fun activities.
To add to the fun, the RCMP had two police vessels present, along with the Canadian Coast Guard who took the cadets on short boat trips and explained what we do and how we work together for public safety. Public engagement with youth is a national strategic priority for the RCMP across the country.
