Thanks to the community of Terrace and volunteers, the 12th annual Cram-a-Cruiser event raised many funds and food donations for local charities.

On December 10, volunteers donned their Santa hats, and set up donation tables and emergency vehicles to cram them full up non-perishables for those in need this season.

In addition to RCMP officers, volunteers included RCMP admin staff and family members, BC Sheriffs, and Terrace Bylaw.

The community of Terrace showed itself to be overwhelmingly generous once again as they crammed five emergency vehicles with non-perishable items and donated a total of $2,010 in cash and gift cards. One hundred percent of donations were delivered to Salvation Army, Terrace Churches Food Bank, and Ksan Place.

The recipients of the donations were so grateful. Paul Moravec of the Terrace Churches Food bank stated, …the amount of food delivered is more than enough to give to the 150 households (300+ individuals) that come to the food bank each week, enough food for a couple of weeks.  Peggy Julseth with Ksan Place added, "These generous donations will really help make the Ksan Place Christmas Special Food Share very Special."

The RCMP would like to extend a huge thank you to our local Save-On-Foods, Safeway, and Wholesale Club, for supporting this event once again, and to the community of Terrace for their generosity and holiday spirit.
