Break and Enter Suspect Arrested

On December 7th at 3:51 p.m., the RCMP responded to complaint of a break and enter in progress situated in the 1500 block of 4th Avenue, Williams Lake.
Police Dog Services along with uniform officers attended the residence and it was observed there was forced entry. Police entered the residence and informed the suspect that a police dog was present. The suspect still attempted to flee and was arrested by the police officers and police dog
Grimm inside the residence. The suspect did sustain injuries from the police dog during the apprehension and he was assessed at Cariboo Memorial Hospital.
The suspect is a 48 year old male from the Williams Lake area and very well known to police for various offences. The suspect will remain in custody pending recommended charges to Crown Counsel for the offences of break and enter with intent and resisting arrest. No officers were injured including police dog
Grimm. There were no occupants at home and the investigation is ongoing.
