Williams Lake RCMP investigate drug trafficking

On Wednesday August 15th 2017 information was received by Police of a home in the city that may be the location of illicit drug activity.

Police conducted an investigation and on Friday August 18th, 2017 executed a search warrant on the residence and as a result three people were arrested. Police seized a large amount of Canadian currency, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, heroin and numerous pills. An insecure firearm was located in the search and subsequently seized.

All three individuals were released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday October 4th 2017.

Insp Jeff Pelley, OIC Williams Lake Detachment said "continued targeting of illicit drug trafficking and weapons possession remain a detachment priority even through our wildfire deployment." We would like to thank the public for their help and continued support. We would like to remind everyone that if they see any suspicious activity, to report it to the police.
