Police probe suspicious man who approached 15 year old girl

On January 19, police were contacted shortly after 9:00 a.m. after a 15 year old girl was approached by a man in a vehicle while walking on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Brookside Rd in Colwood.
The man, unknown to the teenager, asked her if she wanted to have a ride but left the area after she had ignored him.
The man is described as:
- Caucasian male
- 60-70 years old
- Wearing a navy blue zip up jacket
- Blue baseball cap
- Rotten teeth
The suspect vehicle is described as:
- Older model car
- Dark blue
- Rust near the rear tires
It is unknown to this date what the man’s intentions were. Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information on this man and/or vehicle.
