Fatal pedestrian motor vehicle collision - 108th Ave and 148th Street

Surrey RCMP in currently on scene at a fatal pedestrian motor vehicle collision in the Guildford area.

On November 25, 2017, at 4:42pm, a pedestrian was struck while crossing 108th Avenue between the intersections of 144th Street and 148th Street. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The driver remained on scene and is co-operating with police. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in the collision.

Surrey RCMP’s Criminal Collison Investigation Team (CCIT), with the assistance from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS), are investigating this collision.

Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined time as investigators continue their investigation.
