Police seeking witnesses in motor vehicle incident

Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage after a collision that occurred last Friday.

On Friday, September 8, 2023, at approximately 1:10 p.m., police responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle incident involving a SUV and a motorcycle on 240 Street and Kanaka Creek Road. BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) attended the scene and transported two people to hospital, including one via air ambulance.

Ridge Meadows RCMP General Duty (GD) officers, Investigative Support Team (IST), Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) and Integrated Collison Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) also attended the scene of the collision. Due to the severity of injuries, Ridge Meadows RCMP SCU has conduct of the investigation.

Based on the investigation to date, police are seeking further witnesses that may have seen a black motorcycle with a driver and a passenger on it, travelling northbound on 240 Street. If you have information for the police please contact the Ridge Meadows RCMP directly at 604-463-6251.
