Kamloops, BC: Extensive efforts continue to locate a teen who went missing following an arrest.
On June 29, 2017 at approximately 2:00 am, Kamloops RCMP were alerted to a theft of bicycle. A police investigation led to the recovery of the bicycle. Continued efforts by an RCMP police dog located a girl believed to be associated to the theft under a dock at the river bank that parallels Royal Avenue. Police immediately began search efforts to locate her. An extensive search of the river using a Kamloops Fire Department boat equipped with a thermal imaging camera and police boat was conducted overnight.
Kamloops RCMP are continuing to search for the teenaged girl with support from the Police Dog Service, RCMP Air Services and members of the Kamloops Search and Rescue.
