In the afternoon of February 23, searchers located the grey 2017 Nissan Frontier pickup truck with BC license plate ML 6181 on a logging road in the vast back country approximately twenty kilometres south of Highway 19 and Northwest Bay Logging Road.

The vehicle was located in a ditch approximately fifteen metres from a logging road and Sara was not located with or near the vehicle.

Since Friday afternoon and continuing into darkness, Arrowsmith Search and Rescue and their partners have been actively searching for Sara, says Sergeant Shane Worth of the Oceanside RCMP.

The area where the truck was located is a popular weekend destination for back country enthusiasts and search crews are actively searching the area through day and night.  We are asking for those out there this weekend to be on the lookout for Sara. Arrowsmith Search and Rescue and civilian air search and rescue will be in the area throughout this weekend searching for Sara.

If you see Sara or have any information as to her whereabouts, please contact police immediately.
