Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Trans Canada Highway near Salmon Arm

The RCMP Trans Canada Traffic Services and BC Coroners are continuing their investigation into a 2 vehicle collision which resulted in 1 fatality.
On Saturday November 4, 2017 at approximately 12:00 hours MDT, Salmon Arm Detachment, Trans Canada East Traffic Services,EHS and Fire emergency services personnel responded to a two vehicle collision near Salmon Arm on the Trans Canada Highway.
The collision occurred on a straight stretch of road and involved a loaded northbound commercial motor vehicle and a southbound Toyota Tacoma pick up truck. The 62 year old male driver of the Toyota from Salmon Arm had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the semi truck from Kamloops was not injured.
Members of the Trans Canada East Traffic Services unit continue to investigate the cause of this collision and are assisting the B.C. Coroners Service.
There is no other information available at this time.
