Six Months Since Brookswood Hit and Run Fatal

Langley, B.C.

File # 2015-42679

Six months has now passed since the death of Daniel McAULEY. Many will remember, Mr. McAULEY was found deceased on 200th Street on December 20th of last year.

Police were called just prior to 2:30 a.m. to the 2900 block of 200 Street that morning. After months of investigation, interviews and evidence gathering – police now believe the vehicle involved was a 2007 – 2011 Toyota Camry based on vehicle parts left at the scene. The vehicle may have had front end damage.

The one distinct change from previous information provided is police now believe the suspect vehicle was RED in colour.

Mr. McAULEY’s family would like closure and the identification of the driver that night would go a long way to that objective.

Police ask that you view the photographs of the possible suspect vehicle and reflect on the time around Christmas to determine if you may have information that would assist with this investigation. Do you have a friend who lost use of his vehicle for a couple days prior to Christmas? Did you notice some front end damage on a red Toyota Camry parked in your neighbourhood? Were you driving in the area that night, and recall seeing such a vehicle, or perhaps you know someone who was visiting in the area that night that drove this type of vehicle?
