Search warrant by Surrey RCMP leads to large seizure of drugs and firearms

Surrey RCMP Drug Unit has seized a large amount of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and firearms in the Fleetwood area.

On November 4, 2023 Surrey RCMP Drug Unit with the assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Surrey Gang Enforcement Team (SGET), executed a search warrant at a residence in the 16700-block of 109 Avenue.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. He also had a warrant out of Saskatchewan, which was extended to BC at the request of Surrey RCMP. He has since been transferred to Regina, Saskatchewan, where the warrant originated.

Officers seized the following items during the search:

This investigation has led to a significant seizure of potentially fatal drugs and weapons. Additionally, an individual with access to numerous firearms has been removed from our community, says, Surrey RCMP Proactive Enforcement officer, Inspector Ryan Element. Surrey RCMP continues to target those individuals who put our community’s safety at risk.
