Vulnerable Sector Fingerprints for the Ministry of Public Safety and the Solicitor General

If you have applied for a Police Information Check through the Ministry of Public Safety and the Solicitor General, you may receive paperwork requesting to attend your local police office for fingerprinting for the vulnerable sector. Please bring these papers with you as we are unable to process your fingerprints without them. You will need two pieces of government issued identification (one photo ID) and proof of your current address. The fee for fingerprinting is $64.00 and is payable by exact cash, Interac, Visa or MasterCard.

Please Note:

If you have been asked to do a Criminal Record Check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, please complete the necessary forms online at the Province of British Columbia website (English only).

Citizenship and Immigration Canada Fingerprints

Before you can become a Canadian citizen or permanent resident you must submit digital fingerprints along with your application. These fingerprints are generally sent to the applicant’s residing address to be attached to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) application. If CIC requests to have the fingerprints sent directly to them, please ensure that you have the correct CIC address with you. If ink fingerprints are required by a foreign country, please check to see if they will accept the RCMP fingerprint form. If not, bring a copy of that country’s fingerprint forms with you. Please also read your documents carefully prior to attending our office so that you know what you require from us as we are unable to refund application fees once submitted. If you are dealing with an immigration lawyer and wish to have your fingerprints sent to them, please ensure that you have their address available.
